A "Tail" of the TailsNorthern Tails Pet Resort was founded by avid dog lover, Jessica Dibble. Jessica was raised in Manistique and has lived there a majority of her life. After receiving her degree in Veterinary Technology, Jessica came back to Manistique to find a high demand for pet services and the idea of Northern Tails began to form! Jessica received her certification for dog training from CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and found the perfect building to get started in. After extensive renovations of the old hotel, Northern Tails opened it's doors to the public on December 15th, 2016 in Manistique. Northern Tails began by offering 10 overnight kennels and training services.
Today Northern Tails Manistique now offers 16 overnight kennels, a full service doggy daycare facility, pet grooming services, a variety of dog training options, and a fantastic pet store! Northern Tails has a full staff including two pet groomers, two dog trainers, and several kennel attendants. They also now share space with a mobile veterinary service! In August of 2020 Northern Tails expanded by adding a second location in Munising, MI where they now offer overnight boarding, day boarding, grooming services and a small pet store! |
